Ron Harwood, President and Founder of Illuminating Concepts, remains solidly planted in two careers. He has successfully combined his passion for lighting and environmental design with his love of music and performing.

Ron's education in electrical engineering, coupled with his theatrical road-show experience, has contributed to insightful achievements within the lighting industry.

A committed performer, Ron's talents as a musician, recording artist, and publisher have taken him around the world for 35 years with some of America's most notable names like Bonnie Raitt, Sippie Wallace, John Lee Hooker and many, many more.

Ron's multi-faceted origins have inspired him to bring a "new generation" of lighting design, special FX and environmental experiences to the forefront of the industry. The recipient of more than 50 international awards, Ron recently earned the Guth Memorial Award of Excellence for the NBC Experience and the Paul Waterbury Special Citation for the Las Rozas, Madrid - Heron City Leisure Center.

A frequent guest speaker at conferences for Architects and Property Developers, Ron publishes several articles a year in Lighting and Architectural Magazines. His body of work within the Architectural, Entertainment and Retail environments has been attributed to creating lasting industry trends.
