Situated in the downtown core, Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati is a first-class entertainment destination developed through a joint venture between Rock Gaming LLC and Caesars Entertainment.
Working with Friedmutter Group, Las Vegas and WA Architects, Cincinnati, Illuminating Concepts designed and coordinated the interior and exterior lighting and lighting controls for the public spaces for this full service casino totaling 400,000 square feet. IC's scope of work included the 100,000 square foot gaming floor, poker room, high limit, players' club, ballrooms, meeting rooms, steakhouse, buffet, exterior facades and event lawn.
As an urban casino, the exterior and event lawn were designed to engage pedestrians and support existing culture and nightlife within the downtown area. The glass cube feature entry brings the inside out while showcasing a custom color changing chandelier beckoning guests into the casino gaming floor and casino venues. The lighting within the event lawn was designed to allow for subtle white light enhancement of features and pathways through to full color changing kinetic shows for live concert events through programming of the lighting control system.
